(A) Genomic organization of CLM2 genes on the Atlantic herring reference assembly and four PacBio-based haplotype assemblies. CLM2A_null lacks exon1 and intron1 which is present in CLM2A. Similarly, CLM2B1_null in CS4_h2 lacks exon1 and intron1 which is present in CLM2B1. CLM2B2_null in CS4_h1 and CS5_h1 has one nonsense mutation in exon2. Sequences referred to as pseudogenes (ψ) contain only fragments of CLM2 coding sequences. (B) Phylogenetic tree of CLM2 coding nucleotide sequences. The color code is the same as in Fig. 5A
